It was a busy and fantastic weekend and I definitely needed more sleep in between. I had a blast with CF and the gang on Friday night and we went to see Michael Clayton. It's good but a tad long IMO. We then headed over to dinner and talked about life, love and layoffs.
Makes me appreciate my job all the more.
Saturday I attempted to sleep-in but was wide awake at 7:30am and laid in bed till 8:30 in denial. Another hour later I headed to the gym and did the elliptical machine for sixty minutes and fifteen on the treadmill on hill mode - Music makes a huge difference I must say. And I rewarded myself with a new shirt from Forever 21 - so excited that I'm now small enough to shop there b-t-w.
Saturday evening I met up with Tbd to attend a birthday party of one of his bosses. He's freelance and you always have to keep good relationships with people who can keep you working. The party was calm and I enjoyed meeting and talking to his friends that I've heard him talk about.
We had a serious conversation about "us." He still doesn't want a relationship and he was actually getting worried about me and how I felt about our friendly sexual fling. He was relieved to know that I too didn't want a real relationship and that I was happy with our fling. Because he's trying to break his tendancy to be co-dependent we can only see each other once a week and continue our sporatic my space messages to keep him from getting too attached.
We also talked about how we could never carry on a long term relationship. One of the more obvious reasons is his extreme allergy to cats and we both know that I'm not giving up Sarge and Rigby for anyone. Nor would he give up his cat-hating but extremely cute dog.
Sunday morning I left his place and drove to my gym a half hour away - which was a first for me since I've never ever driven there and always taken the train - to make it to spin class. I made it in time but due to a lack of sleep and breakfast the class was very challenging.
I tried to nap on Sunday afternoon knowing that my weekend was not done and I was to attend the other spin teacher's birthday at a club in West Hollywood. I arrived at the club and was surrounded by a sea of men... which immediately made me think of the poem "water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink."
Yes, it was a gay club and all the pretty boys were there. My spin instructor was already drunk when I arrived and he greeted me warmly and announced that I was his star student on Thursday nights and that he "created this hottness" and waved his hands around me. It was funny and he turned and introduced me to his star student on Tuesday afternoons and claimed that he created her hottness as well. LOL
I bought his drink and mine at the bar and was shocked to find that the total for two drinks was twenty-two dollars. Yikes! All the pretty boys must have well paying jobs to afford that on a night out.
After an hour of playing which guy is hotter with the other guys in the group, I was bored and went home.
I'm still tired and will likely crash early tonight but overall it was a great weekend.
